Last nights sunset.
Mr Sparrow having splashed all the water out!
(Passer domesticus)
Mr Blackbird (Turdus merula)
Mrs Blackbird not happy there is no water left...
so she moves to the ashtray....
Ah more water here...
but not big enough...
I then went out and filled all the water up but of course they did not come back till I gave up on them!
Bumblebee
as above.
Unknown beetle on the wall.
Climbing rose.
What I think is just a fly on the zinnia.
Such a beautiful sunset! Wow!
ReplyDeleteAlways love your birds, and flowers, and bees. :)
xoxo
Thanks Sally, the birds are always welcome here in winter, and so long as we are around they know there is food here as well. Take care Diane
DeleteLove all these photos, Diane, especially the birds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, the birds are easier to photo this time of the year, they come looking for food! Have a good day Diane
DeleteGorgeous!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere did the birds go?????????
You tell me. They disappear most of summer except for the sparrows and an odd great tit, as soon as it starts to get colder they arrive looking for food! We are always away December with FIL in the UK, but I have a friend who feeds them from time to time even if we are not here. Keep well Diane
DeleteIt's a great shot of the sunset. I know that you have to be there just at the right moment to capture this kind of image and even a few minutes later the impact has lessened a little. Great job, Diane.
ReplyDeleteYou are right it only a matter of seconds to catch a perfect sunset and I generally miss it. I am in the kitchen around that time and on the wrong side of the house to see what is happening!!! Have a great week Diane
DeleteI love the sunset and the Mr Sparrow! Kisses, Diane!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia it was quite a spectacular few seconds that sunset and I was there at the right time. :-) Keep well Diane
DeleteWhat a stunning photo of the sky! I'm an absolute addict to sunrises and sunsets. Watching the sun go down or up is one of my favourite things to do on vacation.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, lucky that I noticed it when I did. I also love the rising and setting sun but the former I do not often see!! Hope you have a good week, cheers Diane
DeleteWow! Stunning sunset! Beautiful birds love your garden!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy take care and have a great week Diane
DeleteA magnificent sunset and bumblebee! Hi Diane, hope everything well with you and Nigel. Kim
ReplyDeleteI took a real liking to the shot of the bumble bees back on the lavender, it was a bit different :-) Yes all well here, hope the same goes for you. Take care Diane
DeleteI too. I also love all your photos. Mr Sparrow is my favorite one. Here the Usutu-virus is killing so much blackbirds :-(
ReplyDeleteThanks Aritha, wow I have not heard of the virus, I hope it does not come this way, I must look it up. Take care Diane
DeleteMagnificent sunset and all the birds and insects are special too!
ReplyDeleteThanks again Kim, not sure that you realised that you had posted twice :-) Diane
DeleteHi Diane. No, I thought I had forgotten to publish my first comment as it took so long to appear. Never mind, my first comment was better anyway. Everything fine here, just building up to a terrific storm still, about 31 degrees Celcius here. Kim
DeleteSorry if I am busy it takes me a while to download comments and even longer to answer. Oh no, more storms you need to dry out a bit!!! Diane
DeleteFull time job keeping up with the wildlife needs.
