Maximum temperature 16C, minimum 8C. 10 km/h NE winds, 27km/h gusts. 1mm rain measured, very misty.
About 9 am the garden at home...
As above.
10h15 driving down the road...
as above...
Driving through Le Grange...
Driving into Vitrac...
across the bridge into the centre.
The church.
The Salle Communale - Grand opening...
This part of the hall is the original, but we now have the glass doors instead of very high original windows...
Walking through the door is this open construction where we had the speeches followed by champagne and snacks which I forgot to photograph!! The Committee is behind the mayor (who is talking). The commune bought the house and garden at the back of the hall which has allowed for all this extra work to be done. The house itself still needs work done to it
When we left I popped into the church to take some photos, I only had the small camera and no time to fiddle with settings so the windows are not very good...
But you can get the idea.
Back home the garden was still very wet. The cotoneaster.
Such a beautiful church! I'm glad you and Nigel had a safe trip getting there; that fog is really something.

Very spooky but I agree not good for driving in! Have a good day Diane
DeleteWe just came back from the highlands and 18 deg C was the coldest. From your photos, driving visibility is not very good. Take care.
ReplyDeleteIt has definitely cooled down here and damp as well:-(( Have a good day Diane
DeleteLove the fog photos. The church is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie it is a lovely very old church. Fog makes nice photos but not good to drive in! Keep well Diane
DeleteIt was an interesting trip through the fog and mist.
ReplyDeleteLow visibility but at least we were safe. Enjoy the day Diane
DeleteHi Diane. More interesting photos. We have been having torrential rain and storms interspersed with cold drizzly weather in Durban for weeks now. Very strange for this time of year or for Durban ever!
ReplyDeleteSorry that you are having such terrible weather, I have only ever seen Durban when the weather is good, I cannot imagine he roads being flooded. Take care Diane
DeleteI don't mind fog.... but perhaps not for driving in though. It certainly adds a bit of mystic to your photos.
ReplyDeleteSpooky photos but yes not nice for driving!! Keep well Diane
DeleteI love your misty photos, Diane, and the drops on the leaf! The church is amazing. I love the colourful windows. Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteLovely very old church with quite a history. Thanks for the kind comment Diane
DeleteIt was a miserable day to be out and about, Diane, so I hope that the grand opening was suitably GRAND and lived up to your expectations - and even if it didn't there was champagne!
ReplyDeleteWhen it is wet outside, getting wet inside, especially with good champagne cures the problem :-)))) Have a good week Diane
DeleteNot the best of driving conditions yet does make for interesting photos, especially the church.
