29/10/2017 Horrible day, chilly with light drizzle.

Maximum temperature 14C, minimum 6C.  8 km/h NW winds, 20km/h gusts. Very misty and drizzly.
Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)

As above... taking a drink.

As above... having something to say.

Still some figs around.

Autumn colours.

Zinnia

Unusual zinnia it looks like one is growing on another one but there is only one stem!

House sparrow male (Passer domesticus)

As above - female ...

Common wood pigeon (Columba palumbus)

Great tit (Parus major) on the windowsill.

P.S. Just a note to tell you that we discovered a great vegetarian recipe - we did not notice that it was missing meat - low calories -  see Here

  3. Perhaps you have a new type of zinnia. Watch the plant carefully to see if it happens again.

  4. The Eurasian Blue Tit is quite a pretty bird. I'm fond of birds like my mother and grandmother.
I will be checking out the recipe. A few less calories is a good thing. I've been cutting back by eating smaller portions. It takes me awhile to get it right.

  5. Light drizzle sounds appealing. Seems like when it rains here it's either a downpour or a fierce storm with thunder and lightening which is over almost as soon as it begins. When my daughter was a little girl we used to have two umbrellas by the door in the hallway and we used to go for a walk in that kind of drizzle. She loved to wear her little yellow rain boots and go for a walk with her dad.

    1. I hate drizzle along with cold. No fun at all to me!! I gave up with umbrellas years ago too windy most of the time I just wear a hood on my jacket if I have to really go out in it!!!! We have very different tastes it seems when it comes to weather, I love it hot!! Have a great week Diane
