Thanks Sally we do live in a beautiful area I agree. Take care Diane
DeleteSuch beautiful countryside. I enjoy our drives!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, I am glad that you enjoy them as I am never sure what to take photos of. Enjoy your day Diane
DeleteI had an interesting discussion about alternative energies with a scientist not so long ago. I was interested in his perspective on green energies and how we could use more of them. He said that while solar, wind and so on are currently better alternatives to oil that humans always think that they are smarter than nature - and are usually wrong. Everything we do, even installing wind turbines and solar panels, changes natural cycles. On a small scale this might not cause great damage but on a large scale they could just as equally cause further harm to our earth.
ReplyDeleteI am sure that there is other ways with out the ugly turbines. Driving through Spain there is now hardly a view anywhere without a series of turbines it is awful. Here they are not so bad, but the numbers are going up :-((( What upsets me is that birds get maimed and die a slow lingering death as do other flying creatures. Keep well and thanks for the comment Diane
DeleteI have to stick up for the turbines. More birds are killed each year by cell towers and radio towers. Feral cats kill even more. However you take such lovely pictures.
ReplyDeleteFeral cats kill and it is nature, wind turbines cause slow lingering deaths which are man made. Have you ever walked under a turbine only to see birds with broken wings struggling to survive?
DeleteThanks for the comment on my photos I try to take nice photos though not always so good taken from a moving vehicle !! Keep well Diane
Beautiful photos, Diane. I especially love La Rochefoucauld. I never thought that wind turbines kill birds! But, you are so right! Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia, the problem is they rarely kill they just hurt them and then they die a very slow and painful death!! Very upsetting to me. Take care Diane
DeleteHi Diane. More beautiful villages and countryside. I love the blue shutters, they look very attractive with the whiteness of the building. Kim
ReplyDeleteI think I like blue or green shutters best, some are terrible colours but not many thank goodness :-) Have you been looking at property ? Take care and keep your feet dry Diane
DeleteNice drive by shots. I love fall colors on trees this time of year.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is very pretty, it is such a pity though that it has get cold for us to enjoy it :-)) Stay well, Diane
DeleteYou live in a beautiful place. Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy, I have to agree with you LOL. Happy week, Diane
DeleteYour views in "town" are just different from mine.
ReplyDeleteLOL Very different. Diane
DeleteBats suffer even more with wind turbines. They get into a pressure zone and suffer pulmonary embolism. They literally explode.
ReplyDeleteSome people just do not want to listen!!!! Take care Diane
