Blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus) checking out the water...
think this might be a bit too deep for a little bird like me...
That's much better....
Hey is that me down there 😉 ...
Splish, splash...
Great cleaning session!
Mr Sparrow (Passer domesticus) looking on...
Hey clear the landing strip, I am coming in to land.
The mayor's office on the left in Chasseneuil...
and an old deserted factory building on the outskirts of town.
I bought a packet of pansy seeds, but I seem to have what I would call violas, the flowers are the size of my thumb nail!!
Golden skies this evening...
as above.
For those following our South African holiday part 7 is now HERE
I think that little bird bath has a secret bird magnet in the bottom. I have two in my back yard and I don't think either one attracts birds with the regularity yours does.
ReplyDeleteYou mean to tell me that they do not sell bird magnets in Canada LOL. Have a good Sunday Diane
DeleteYou have made a welcome bathing spot for the birds. It has to be a source of great pleasure for you.
ReplyDeleteThe birds seem very happy with their situation. I wonder if I got them a real birdbath if they would use it as much :-) Take care Diane
DeleteYou amaze me every time with that bird bath, Diane. Great skies too.
ReplyDeleteThe birds amaze me they seem to just love it :-) It was truly a golden sky last night, unusual. Take care Diane
DeleteSeeing your beautiful pics make me realize that I should put water out for the birds like that. I used to have a birdbath but if not refreshed everyday I would get mosquitos laying eggs in the water. I pretty much leave the birds to play in the creek. Great shots.
ReplyDeletePam if the birds used the bath as much as mine do there would be no water in it several times a day! I do not worry about mosquitoes in there as I am always putting in fresh water, sometimes 4 to 5 times a day! Enjoy your Sunday. Diane
DeleteOh my, what a brilliant gold the sky was. We get a beautiful red with sometimes a few other colors. But I have never seen a brilliant gold like that in the evening.
ReplyDeleteWe generally have a red sky but that was truly gold last night. I have no idea how we get a change in colour must be something to do with the clouds and the time I actually catch the sunset! Have a good day Diane
DeleteA fabulous series Diane. I always leave smiling.
ReplyDeleteThanks Denise and your comment leaves me smiling. :-) Take care Diane
DeleteHello my friend! I’m doing a bit of catching up on blog reading! I’ll only comment here on this day, but I so very much enjoyed viewing all your photos from the past few days! You know I never tire of seeing the Chateau, nor any of the other wonderful structures you photograph! Your birds in the garden are quite the characters! They make me smile! We too have had a few days of fire in the wood burning stove! But alas the past few days have been rather warm again! I hope to post sone photos in a few days! Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Doniene for the catch up. I hate the cold so much that I have been very happy that we have had a couple of warmer days ! So glad that you enjoy my photos and the birds always make me smile. Take care and hope you have a good Sunday Diane
