06/02/2018 Now it is snowing!

Maximum temperature today 2C, minimum -2C. Snowing as I type this.  North Westerly winds; 11 km/h with up to 27 km/h gusts.

January was rain, rain and more rain.  February so far as been fog and now snow.
Early this morning in the garden...

as above.

Eurasian blue tit (Cyanistes caeruleus)...

as above...

all fluffed up and trying to keeping warm...

Hmmm what is this ice in our water - (I have already cleaned and refilled) but....

having a complaint I think.

Great tit female (Parus major) also having a moan

A male, as above not very impressed...

Another female -what is this cold stuff coming from above?...

trying to keep warm but my feet are cold.

Common blackbird female (Turdus merula

  2. Oh...I love the pics of the Blue Tit in the snow. Great shots! We actually had two small snows here in my area, but nothing like I wanted this yr. Problem with that is Mother Nature don't care what I want! haha

  3. They really are the sweetest little birds, love the way they puff up jnto a little ball to keep warm ☺ Still coughing Diane, but maybe I'm just wishful thinking but I don't think as much!

  6. This has been a crazy winter-Even this year Florida had snow! Hoping for a beautiful spring. The Tit birds that visit my feeder year round are the "Tit mouse" with a black and gray coloring. Stay warm!

  8. Hi Diane. Lovely photos of a very pretty snowy landscape. Poor little birds, snow is attractive to see but the cold not comfortable to live with. I love how birds have such expressive faces. Keep warm. Kim
