Trying to catch up!!

Maximum temperature today 15C, minimum 10C.   1 mm of rain measured this morning; 5 km/h South Westerly winds with up to 20 km/h gusts.
Total rainfall so far this year now 422 mm.
Camellia.

Choisya Ternata coming into flower slowly.

Mirabelle plum blossom.

First bud on the peonies.

Japanese quince (Chaenomeles japonica).

Common wood pigeons (Columba palumbus) and Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto).

House sparrow (Passer domesticus) Male...

Healthy looking rhubarb.

  6. Hi Diane. Lovely photos of very patient, photogenic birds. Camellias are beautiful flowers. My dad used to grow them when I was a child but I don't think I have seen any since. Hope the warmer weather is helping you get over your cough.

    1. Yes I would think Camellias would grow well near the coast but they certainly never grew well for me in the high veld. The weather is warming up but I think my cough is in facy hetting worse. I see the Dr next Tuesday for my 6 monthcheck up so will speak to him about it then. Take care Diane

  7. I am out on Vancouver Island right now and the temperature yesterday got up to seventeen degrees so we beat you by one degree!
