23/03/2019 Trying to catch up!

Maximum temperature today 20C, minimum 3C.  Dry. 11 km/h South-easterly winds with gusts up to 21 km/h.
The temperatures drop again on Monday but it looks good for the weekend

Just out for a drive.

Twins.

Having fun.

The roadsides are yellow with cowslips.

Full moon on the 19th. Handheld photo.

Horses just down the road.

An interesting line up.

Quite fancy the Aston Martin...

Citroën Ami 6 looks like fun...

and this Cortina was apparently on its first run since 1998.

You can just see a tinge of yellow as some of the rape flowers are starting to open, The fields will soon be gold.

A buttercup in the garden.

A wallflower just down the road.

Wednesday night's sunset.

  1. Your spring, hardly surprising, is more advanced than ours, but it is now well underway here. Each day recently has been above freezing, on Tuesday even getting up to ten degrees with strong sun, many, many migrants have returned, green shoots are poking through the ground, birds are in love - all is well with the world! Have a great weekend, Diane. Be good to Nigel.

    1. I will only be sure of no more frosts here when May is on its last legs, though we do not get them often after April. I am always good to Nigel 😉 Hope you have a great Sunday Diane

  2. Signs of Spring are all around you. How wonderful! I do like to see fields of rapeseed when they are in full bloom. We don't have them where I live but they are very plentiful in the north where I recently travelled. Have a wonderful weekend. I hope you and Nigel are now fully over the flu.

    1. Hi Penny, flu was not the problem this year it was the tummy virus that FIL brought back from the hospital. We are both fine, but I am not convinced we are totally clear of some lingering bug. We have our 6 month check up next week so I hope we might get some answers. Happy Sunday, Diane

  3. Looooove coming on these trips with you Diane, spring is looking tres belle in your part of the world. As my fear of flying grows I'm ever grateful to have traveled to and some of the most beautiful/fascinating places in the world, including my favourite Paris three times. I feel I should do something about it but honestly the way the world is today, I'm not sure I want to ✨

    1. I have to agree where in the world do you go now and feel safe!!!! Maybe some old almost forgotten island, but then you have to hope the flights are safe as well though the seem to have grounded the problem planes!! Glad you enjoy our travels meanwhile, take care Diane

  5. I so enjoy your country drives. Would be especially fun in that Aston Martin. Very impressed with your hand held moon shot. Too cloudy to even see the full moon here this month. And the sunset is magnificent.

    1. I have driven many makes of car in my time but not an Aston Martin, time to remedy that 😉 Thanks for the moon shot comment, from you that is special as you have night skies taped. I was lucky to catch the sunset, I think I only caught the tail end of it. Happy Sunday Diane

  7. BEAUTIFUL sunset. Bet the little lambs are so much fun to watch. I love that in your pics I see no power lines, something we have to fight around here in TN. Do yours get buried under ground?

    1. There are masses of power lines around I try to avoid them. Look carefully at the sunset there a few there. We are though in the country so most lines are in the hamlet itself. Hope you are well Diane

  8. I always enjoy riding with you. We have auto shows here too. At all the show I've seen they open the hood so the engine can be seen.

    1. Emma this was not an auto show, just a few friends out to lunch, some have classic vehicles so when the sun shines we see them. At a show yes all would be open. Take care Diane
