I am simply getting further behind with blogging, as the weather improves, I will be out even more so it could get even slower!! I am trying though!

Are zebra's white with black stripes or black with white stripes?
ReplyDeleteZebras are black with white stripes see https://www.livescience.com/zebras-black-and-white
DeleteThe mongoose was the perfect choice to open this post. It draws one in for sure. Love all the critters, Diane, especially the birds! Great photos!
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, I could spend the rest of my days happily taking wld life photos, frustrating sometimes but so wonderful to see. Hope that all is well over there. Diane
DeleteSo many amazing animals! Continue to enjoy the outdoor and life :-))
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie I spend as much time as I possibly can outdoors. Takecare Diane
DeleteYou saw a lot at Addo, my second favorite SANP.
ReplyDeleteThink we saw most things, though some at a distance like jackals and I got no photos!! Hugs Diane
DeleteYou are really bringing back memories for me, Diane. We spent almost a month in RSA in 2008, and it remains one of our most memorable trips. I have vivid memories of a Secretary Bird stamping a mouse to death! Bonne journée. Bisous - David
ReplyDeleteI am happy to bring back good memories, for me any trip to Africa is memorable, I just love the wildlife there. Bisous, Diane
DeleteHi Diane - your photos are exceptional - they're brilliant - I love the lioness ... but my favourite is the 'common warthog' - my favourite. Actually all ... and Addo park back in the day. Enjoy being back in France and life there as the summer progresses ... also all the goodies from your garden - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteHi Hilary I also love warthogs, they are fascinating and I love the way the run with tails in the air. France's summer has been slow arriving, but the last couple of days have been sunny and warm. The garden is a bit behind this year, but it is perking up! I hope all is well, very best wishes, Diane
DeleteThanks for the many photos of beautiful wild animals enjoying their natural surrounding. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi Nancy thanks for the kind comment. I hope that you are feeling better and that all is well. Diane
DeleteHa ha zebra crossing, love it! A great collection of animal photos. The zebra is my favourite. Don't worry about keeping up blogging. I think we are all slowing down a bit. I only post now and then.
ReplyDeleteThanks Diane, I just quite simply do not have the time for blogging at the moment and I have so many photos that I need still to go through. Maybe come winter!! Take care, Cheers t'other Dian
DeleteYour photography of this fabulous wildlife is absolutely superb, Diane. It makes me realise that I have not visited most of the regions of this planet, and the one that I regret missing missing the most is the south of the Aftrican continent - I shall never get there!
ReplyDeleteSorry for the late visit - like you, I have been taking advantage of a recent spell of good weather between several medical issues and visits for both myself and Lindsay.
Best wishes to you both - - - Richard
Rhichard, Southern Africa is very special and very close to my heart having lived there for 50 years. The wild life is spectacular, but I wonder if we will ever get there again as well, we are not getting any younger and there are still places I want to see on my list which also may never happen.
DeleteThe garden has been very demanding this year as we were away so long and catching up has not been so easy. Especially as I have had to plant several times in places, the young blackbirds are so naughty and keep digging young plants out looking for worms, even inside the greenhouse!!
I hope all your medical issues for both of you solve themselves fairly quickly, I know the problem but Lindsay's sound even more of a problem,
Take care and very best wishes to you both, Diane
Bonjour Diane.
Spectacular images of the wildlife.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kenneth, it is such a pleasure to see the wildlife in their natural environment and I love to share it. Keep well, Diane
DeleteWow! I feel like I haven't read your blog forever. I hope I do better from now on. Your photos are quite amazing, and enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteYvonne my blog is very slow at present, so little time. Maybe I can catch up a bit in winter!! Take care, Diane
DeleteYour photos of Africa evoke so many memories, Africa (Kenya) being maybe the most exciting place we ever travelled to. Rivalled only by the Taj Mahal. Great photos today. I think I saw one Secretary Bird with those impossibly long legs but I well remember seeing two species of zebra and many, many elephants just as in your photos. At Treetops we watched a herd of elephants barge into the watering hole scattering everything in sight. What a wonderful experience that was with the noise and commotion they made.
ReplyDeleteHi Phil, glad to bring back good memories. I apologise for not keeping up at the moment but I seem to be extra busy and now we also have visitors as well. Take care, cheers Diane
DeleteBrilliant! A great selection of captures. Thank you Diane and all the best.
ReplyDeleteI would usually pick a zebra as my favorite, I love them, but I have to go with the mongoose, love the surprised expression on his face.
