09/02/2020 A bit more of spring in the garden.

Maximum temperature in the Charente today 13C, minimum 7C. Rain measured this morning nil, but it is forecast for later today.  30km/h South-Westerly wind up to 61 km/h.

We went out for lunch on Thursday, these photos are just to tide you over until I edit them all.  I took a lot, as we were trying to plan a route to have lunch with friends. David, watch out for the cheeseboard 😏

17/03/2018 Not much in the garden today!

Maximum temperature today 11C, minimum 2C.   5 mm of rain measured this morning; 7 km/h North Westerly winds with up to 28 km/h gusts.  

357 mm of rain so far this year!  

Not an insect in sight today, not even a fly! This male blackbird seemed to be doing well in the wet soil finding worms though. (Turdus merula.)

The camellia are struggling in this weather and are going brown very quickly.

Someone lost a feather!

10/03/2017 A few rushed photos today. The weather was good and we tried to get a lot done with shopping and gardening.

03/06/2016 Busy day again a few random shots around the garden. Also FIL's tea party for his 95th bithday.

 Maximum temperature  21C, minimum 10C.  26 km/h NE winds. 1 mm rain measured.

An almost identical photo taken last year of the Hummingbird hawk-moth (Macroglossum stellatarum). First one to be seen this year.

The third time this year that the Japanese quince has flowered, think it is more that a little confused by the weather! (Chaenomeles japonica).
