08/04/2016 The return of the Green lizard and various photos at home and out walking.

Maximum temperature 12C, minimum 0C.   29 km/h NW winds.  4mm rain measured this morning.
Green Lizard.  Lacerta viridis.
Black bird, I think immature.
Greenfinch female.
House centipede.  Scutigera coleoptrata.  The good guys as they eat insects and spiders!
A trip to the optician.  Nigel's cycling glasses have a cracked lens!
Lavoir at Fleurignac.
Well at Fleurignac.
A beautifully cut hedge.
Curious cattle.  Note they all have their horns cut.
Blackthorn.
Calves.
Wild bluebells.
Muddy horses.
Lambs.

      We have a number of the Green lizards in our garden so we are lucky. I live in the Charente in France. Have a good weekend Diane

      They get less scared of me by the middle of summer, this early they always seem to be wary. Have a good weekend Diane

      The green lizards are great and I am glad to have them breeding in our garden. As for the centipede, most people hate them, but if they eat the spiders then they are welome :-) Diane

    We have lots of house lizards but they are not green. The house centipede is a pretty one and it is new to me. Love all the animals photos. I wonder why the horns of cows are cut?

      The green lizards are very big and can grown up to 400mm long. The cows have their horns cut I suspect to protect them against each other, the handlers and calves. Keep well Diane
