01/11/2017 Wow November has arrived. The birds came to my rescue with photos again today.

Maximum temperature 18C, minimum 6C.  14km/h SW winds, 27km/h gusts. Dry
Wood Pigeon (Columba palumbus)

Mrs House Sparrow (Passer domesticus)

As above.

Great tit just having completed his daily bath.  (Parus major)

Cyclamen in the house (next to the Christmas cactus).

Male blackbid   (Turdus merula) ...

enjoying the bath that I had just topped up...

    Since November is the beginning of "inside time," couldn't you show photos of inside your house?

      You could get quite a lot of them at this time of the year as the garden has few flowers and even fewer insects!! Take care Diane

    Yesterday the blackbird looked shy, but today the wood pigeon looks like he's posing. Chest out, plump and proud. ;-)

      All our birds are pretty nervous, far more so than in the UK. The blue tit is probably the bravest, but even the robin here is very shy. In the UK the robin was always following me around waiting for me to dig up a worm.
