Maximum temperature today 20C, minimum 5C. Dry; 🌞
10km/h South-easterly winds with gusts up to 19 km/h.
Sorry I have not left the planet but just been busy with other things. Hard not to be outside in this weather. It looks like it is set in for another few days then the rain arrives (which is not bad), and the temperature drops, but not so that it is freezing.
Out for a drive - the trees are still bare but this weather is bringing on buds, hope they do not all get killed off. There must be another frost this year...
Reflections driving by...
And looking across which may be winter wheat. Note the wind turbines in the background 😒
When we returned I went out for a walk but the lambs just captivated me and I took lots of photos...
Inquisitive...
At the milk bar...
Now, who is the king of the castle...
Oh, who cares let us play instead...
Run and jump...
Kick up my heels...
Wow that was fun 🐑
A little more subdued and these are a bit older...
Twins maybe?
Mistletoe.
Calves.
Dandelion.
Not sure what this is but it is pretty!
Wild violets.
Neighbours moving a log it seems.
and overhead,
I have updated my bird blog HERE.
I so love seeing your pictures.
ReplyDeleteI thanks Emma, these were fun to take 😉 Hope all is well Diane
DeleteYou are such a baby with this cold! Overnight we had a real blizzard here. Tons if snow and drifts a metre high in the driveway. I have just come in from shoveling it for the second time, and I suspect it will need doing again before it's all over. Not hard to see why you have lots of images of the lambs. They do define cuteness don't they?
ReplyDeleteDavid I am simply enjoying the warm weather which is a shock, February is generally our coldest month and we can also expect snow!! I have though never lived in a very cold climate, and I have never had the clothes that you wear, so yes I do feel the cold.
DeleteThe lambs are just so adorable and they seem to be enjoying the warmer weather as well.
Enjoy your shovelling ⛄ It will keep you warm, Diane
The shovelling is not my favourite actvity but it does provide a little exercise. The temperatures you had mentioned at the top of your post were five to twenty degrees. At five degrees we would be in a windbreaker, or a fleece, at twenty in tee shirts. It is really hard for me to construe
Deletethat temperature range as cold, with or without North American winter clothing.
Wow, Diana! Your photos with lambs and reflections are absolutely amazing! It is a cold week in Greece too. Hugs, my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia the lambs are such fun and I enjoy them while I can. We are lucky to be in a warm spell of weather but I am sure the cold will return before spring really arrives!! Keep well Diane
DeleteLovely to see your photos full of sunshine and those cute lambs! Great photos Diane, love the flowers and the other animals too. We have had a lot of dull, rainy days lately so when the sunshine comes out it such a welcome sight. We have mistletoe growing in trees not too far away but not in such abundance as these. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThe misteltoe and ivy here is bad it takes over everywhere. They are only green we see in winter other than the fir trees! You have a good week also Diane
DeleteBeautiful pics as always...Loving the pics of lambs. I have never had any interaction with lambs before. Goats are fun.
ReplyDeleteI like both sheep and goats especially the youngsters but most of the goats around here are very cheeky!! Take care, hope you are feeling better. Diane
DeleteThe animals are enjoying themselves in the field! Our highest temperature today is 35 C & now at 11 pm its 29 C!
ReplyDeleteYour temperatures sound perfect to me 😉 Ours go back to being colder again tomorrow. Take care Diane
DeleteLove yours pictures and especially love these little lambs !! sooo cute!!
ReplyDeletehave a nice week!
The lambs are very cute and such fun to watch. Keep well Diane
DeleteI love your pics. Het is zo mooi.
ReplyDeleteThanks Aritha, it is easy to get beautiful pictures when you have good subjects 😊 Keep well, Diane
DeleteOh, those darling lambs! Big sigh.
ReplyDeleteAmalia
xo
Haha they really are so cute. Keep well Diane
DeleteHi Diane. What a delightful set of images you have presented, showing us the delights of this 'false spring'. I was just saying to Lindsay a few days ago that I was looking forward to the lambs playing 'king of the castle'! I too fear what will happen when the cold weather returns, as it seems sure to do. I don't know if you are aware, but we have broken the all-time record for February temperatures over most of the UK. It looks as if the weather will change tonight, however.
ReplyDeleteWith my very best wishes. Take good care - - - Richard
Hi Richard, yesterday was certainly the highest recorded temperature recorded in Toulouse with 22.3° C maximum (previous record 22.1 ° C in February 1960)! Quite some time ago. Our weather is due to change tomorrow as well, rain, but thankfully not freezing. I just wonder what these changes will do to the wild life and crops. If it does not freeze we might get away with it, but we have been known to have frosts as late as May!!
DeleteKeep well, Diane
“Mistletoe hung where you can see” has a whole other meaning now!
ReplyDeleteHaha you could spend a lot of time kissing under the trees here. Have a good day, Diane
DeleteGreat photos, Diane! It's wonderful to see green grass and all! It has been a bitter cold winter here, but warming up just a little, all of 20°F today, but still lots of snow on the ground. Love the lambs, as I've said before we had them on the farm when I was growing up and they're fun to watch, etc. Take care
ReplyDeleteThe weather has been remarkable here and the highest February temperatures on record. I have to say we have enjoyed it. Have a great weekend Diane
DeleteThe lambs are adorable Diane, as you say.. totally captivating how they are frolicking on those new wobbly legs 😊 So happy you are getting a bit of nicer weather to potter in the garden, long may it last. Hope you ard both keeping well and more relaxed after the worries of your England trip ✨
ReplyDeleteI just love the lambs and this year they have been in a closer paddock to the road so easier to photograph. They have aways been behind our house before and the paddock is huge, they always used to go to the far end so photos were not easy.
DeleteThe weather is fabulous, very unusual February!! Take care Diane
Great shots! The lambs are adorable and so is that sleepy calf.
ReplyDeleteI am dying to get out in some nature like shown in your pics.
ReplyDeleteThe baby sheep are adorable. Lovely weather to get out and about. We were buried in snow, then it melted and rained. Now temps are beginning to feel like spring. I'm trying to catch up too.
