Drive by photos so a little blurred but I just loved all the trees that are so green now.
Roses to the right driving through Saint-Mary.
Driveway to a friend...
Lots of green,,.
Large chestnut tree at the house...
full of flower...
so pretty...
and a little closer. It is a very complex flower.
Returning back home...
House centipede. (Scutigera coleoptrata) They are welcome in our home as they eat spiders and other unwelcome bugs
Tulips that I bought 30 April I cannot believe how well they have lasted.
In the garden, I spotted this Scarce Swallowtail butterfly (Iphiclides podalirius)...
As above...
As above...
And yes as above, finally.
I will be away next week for 10 days and out of WiFi contact. I hope to return with some good photos, but who knows. We are returning to a spot we know, but I found last year that I did well with insects but not with birds!!

Great photos of France, Diane. I love your butterfly and the yellow tulips. Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia, your comments are always appreciated. Have a lovely Sunday Diane
DeleteGee I want to visit your friend. Their property looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI purposely did not take photos of their house (huge), and the cottage (as big as our house), and their own chapel which is being restored, sigh. They are house agents, but he is also a magical mechanic and has just saved us a lot of money. Such nice people. Have a good Sunday Diane
DeleteGorgeous! Well, except the insect...eek! :)
ReplyDeleteSandi when I first moved here those centipedes gave me the heebie jeebies, but I have learnt to live with them because they remove so many other things that I hate. They are harmless to us, after a while they even start to look quite nice 😊 Take care Diane
DeleteI feel so at home near trees. Especially if they are near a body of water. These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI agree water and trees are the best part of nature, until man ruins them! They are doing a good job of wrecking nature in so many ways! Hope all is well with you. Diane
DeleteI love trees. Your ones there in France are beautifully green. The butterflies and other critters seem to be thriving though I know that times are very hard for them. It's good that some try to bring back certain insect and wildlife with their plants. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny, anything nature looks good to me, sad that nature is a disappearing subject in so many parts of the world. Take care Diane
DeleteThe photos of the lanes lined with green are spectacular!
ReplyDeleteI agree Marie. Lanes line with woods can only be good. Cheers Diane
DeleteSuch beautiful big green trees. Just lovely.
ReplyDeleteA spectacular area, cheers Diane
DeleteGreen is my favorite color, especially nature's green. Beautiful trees and when you add in blooms and butterflies, simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteNature is amazing, such a pity man is is trying to remove so much of it!!!!!!! Take care Diane
DeleteOh I love the blooms on the chestnut tree. Love your pics as always. Always so pretty and you catch things with great bright colors.
ReplyDeleteLove the green green trees you passed by on your drive. The chestnut flowers are beautiful. The centipede and butterfly are very unique. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Diane!
ReplyDeleteWhen I come back, you go away! LOL!
Lovely photos of trees, flowers and Scarce swallow-tail!
I wish you to succeed in getting nice bird pics wherever you're going!
All the best and take care.... don't do like me... I manage to break a rib in a fall by lake Bogoria in Kenya!!
What a magical place! The flowers are so pretty ☺
ReplyDeleteOh la! Tres belle images Diane. The blossoms and butterfly are gorgeous. It's amazing how spring and a bit of rain transforms everything! Happy week ahead to you both ✨
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. O, I wished we could walk together through the forest. All is so nice now.
ReplyDeleteI really feel at peace when I see so much green.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Springtime ! The chestnut blossoms are absolutely stunning! I had no idea! I hope you are having a wonderful time away.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and green. Are your friends French or English. How does the Brexit Circus effect you?
ReplyDeleteThose particular fiends are English but in general we do not have many English friends. Brexit could be a huge problem for us, but until we know the deal or no deal we have no idea what problems. We have a 10 year residence for France which is easily renewed, but medical is quite another thing as we have an EU health card issued by the UK!! Only time will tell. Keep well t'other Diane
