Just a note to let you all know we are back home. Not only have I masses of photos to go through, (a lot of interesting insects that need ID, very few birds and some interesting towns) but the grass and weeds are knee deep and too wet to cut, and the vegetable garden needs hours of work. I will get back to blogging and visiting as soon as I can get all sorted out here at home.
Just a small taste of what I took and which I have managed to hopefully ID correctly.
Provencal Fritillary (Melitaea deione).
As above.
As above.
Hope you are all well, Diane
We will look forward to seeing all your pictures, Diane. I sometimes wonder why we take so many photographs and inflict on ourselves the chore of editing them all, involving hours and hours of work. Miriam has still not finished editing all her pictures from Panama and we have been home for six weeks. I must confess that I have been tempted the odd time to retire my camera.
ReplyDeleteDavid I love my camera but just wish it could download and edit without my help! It would not be so bad if there was not so much work to do in the garden, grass, weeds, more planting and at the moment bucket loads of cherries to de-pip and dehydrate. I guess we could just leave them but what a waste, there are so many even the birds make no impression on what they eat. Keep well I will be back to blogging eventually I hope, Diane
DeleteI missed you, Diane! Welcome back!

DeleteLovely photos. Isn't digital photography wonderful, remember when we had to buy film and pay for developing, to even see how they turned out:) Now it's click away and enjoy without the extra expense.
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie, yes taking photos in the old days was an expensive hobby, love my digital but wish I could take less photos, it is too easy to just click way!! Best wishes to you and Steve. Diane
