First stop was the dechetterie (dump), garden rubbish here...
and the electrical good are being collected opposite.
One of the very old Canadian carvings. I seldom get to see this chap as the shrubs are usually as high as he is!
The post office in Chasseneuil looks like it is getting a face lift, or maybe a roof lift!
En route to the physio driving through Massignac...
as above.
Cattle by the side of the road.
A serious road obstruction, luckily one of the wider roads for us...
Cleaning out the ditches, they are pretty good about this each year.
Some signs of autumn but not a lot yet...
As above.
We stopped off to shop at Leclerc supermarket on the way home, Star Wars seems to be in evidence ....
As above.
Traffic jam in Tapponat :-)
The sun was a bit high when I took this, and only with the little hand held Samsung, but I thought the sunset was an interesting effect if nothing else.
It has been a long day and I did not get a good night sleep last night. Will catch up with all your comments tomorrow. I am heading to bed!!
Bonne nuit.
Oh my how the weather changed over the course of the day. Dark and moody, then some blue sky and ending with those lovely colours in the sunset.
ReplyDeleteBig change the water for the birds was solid ice this morning!!!! Cheers Diane
DeleteI love the Canadian carving and the cows! Great photos once again, Diane. Kisses, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThe carvings are all superb they have all been on the blog at various times. Take care, Diane

ReplyDeleteThis morning it looked like it was here, heavy frost!! Merci Diane
DeleteI guess you are tired. It looks like you had a long day on the road. The pictures are lovely as usual.
ReplyDeleteI was exhausted yesterday and I had another bad night last night. Over active mind must learn to switch off!!
DeleteThanks for the comment Diane
What a fine CANADIAN carving. He looks wise, sophisticated, suave too, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI have always liked that carving but as I say he is not that often visible, he spends a lot of time hidden or in hibernation :-) Keep well Diane
DeleteI love the picture with the cattle by the road side and the pre-autumn trees lining along the road.
ReplyDeleteI love the treed drives here regardless of the time of the year but the changing months makes them even more interesting. Have a good day Diane
DeleteWell even with road blocks along the way it looks like a pretty drive.
ReplyDeleteAnywhere in France of the highways is pretty. Sometimes even the highways are not too bad :-) Hope all is OK Diane
DeleteOh how I love the name dechetterie in place of dump. And I really like the carving. I wonder how old it is.
ReplyDeleteEmma the carving is not that old. I saw it being done in 2011 see this link of mine
Deletehttp://lifeincharente.blogspot.fr/2011/07/wood-carvers.html You might have to change the .fr in the middle but maybe not. I agree dechetterie sounds so much better :-) Take care Diane
