05/12/2017 A little more of the wild and domestic animal life on Nevis.

Caribbean Queen or Jamaican Monarch (Danaus cleophile)...

Zenaida dove (Zenaida aurita)...

As above.

Not sure which humming bird this is but is is very small only about 6.5 cms (2.5 Inches) long from tali to tip of beak....

as above, sorry the light was bright behind so quite dark.

Ruby-throated hummingbird (Archilochus colubris)

Busy as a bee.

Panther anole - (Anolis bimaculatus).  [I think]

Mum goat getting her kids out of the roadway!

This donkey also was in the road.  Black and white as there was a strange orange light across the photo!

  2. Do you guys still have hummingbirds and butterflies this time of yr? Wow....not us. The hummers usually move more south, into Mexico around mid Oct. Butterflies around the same time. Great pics as usual.

  3. I had no idea that Ruby-throated Hummingbirds spent the winter on Nevis. I will have to do a little research into their complete migratory destinations.
