10/09/2017 Rain drops in the garden.

Maximum temperature 19C, minimum 9C. 17 km/h NW wind with 39 km/h gusts. 6mm of rain overnight.  More rain forecast over the rest of the week.

Autumn crocus/daffodils all closed - they do not like the weather!

The wet weather is bringing out the snails.  European  garden snail (Helix aspersa)....

They are edible but I prefer to let the blackbirds eat ours!!

The quinces are ripening, also apples and the first figs.  You can see how big the quinces are compared to the Granny Smiths.

14/05/2016 It has been a slow day. I did not sleep well and I have had that snail like feeling all day!

Possibly a 'Small heath' but I am certainly not sure!

Pretty but destructive to Rosemary, Lavender and Sage.

13/05/2016 Still raining!!!!

Maximum temperature 17C, minimum  10C.   35 km/h SW winds. 3mm of rain measured but we are having continuous drizzle.

Collected my new wide angle lens today very exciting. As you can see the tiling is still under cover!

08/11/2015 A big undertaking today tidying up the barn! A couple of garden photos as well.

15/09/2015 Another wet day, a few photos from the garden between cooking and cleaning. Nigel made liver pate but no photo.
